Ways to get NDIS Participants

Ways To Get NDIS Participants

As an NDIS service provider, one of the vital parts of growing your business is getting the right clients. While many NDIS participants need your services, making it easy for participants to find you in Google’s search results can be complex & challenging when you’re starting as a provider.

But, with a few tips and techniques up your sleeve, you can effectively market your NDIS services, get more clients, and grow your business.

  • Creating a business website & Logo
  • Developing SEO Strategy
  • Using Ads
  • Post consistently on social media.
  • Using online platforms and apps to register.
  • Attend/Organise NDIS events.

Creating a Business Website & Logo

Business Website

Participants usually take up the list of NDIS providers recommended by the NDIA and then compare the websites. You will stand apart when the website looks sophisticated and professional; they’ll likely want to work with you.

Your website should be disability friendly. Depending on your audience, this can include additional image/video descriptions, simple and extensive copy, clearly underlined links, spaciousness between information, and proper colour usage.

Make a well-thought-out logo for your company. It will help participants recognise your company, relate to it, and give it an edge over others. With many options, it’s a process of elimination, and first impressions indeed count.

You can put the ‘I heart NDIS’, ‘I support the NDIS’ and the ‘Registered provider’ taglines on your website and other marketing strategies. These NDIS provider logos make it evident that you’re a part of the scheme, immediately showing credibility.

Developing SEO Strategy

When marketing yourself as an NDIS provider, a lack of SEO strategy can break your business in today’s world. Google can understand your website’s content and its relevance to users’ search queries.

Make a Google Business profile

Google Business profile

Doing a Google My Business or Setting up a Google Business profile is a great way to make it easier for people in your area to find your business.

Users who find your Google Business profile can easily access your address, phone number, and relevant links to contact you. Along with creating a Google Business profile, adding regular updates and posts to your profile can help boost your website.

Include relevant SEO keywords, photos, and quality content to incentivise Google to show your profile to more users.

Optimise our website

Your ability to land at the top of Google’s search results is only as good as Google’s ability to understand your website.

Incorporating H1 tags, alt tags, meta descriptions and SEO keywords makes it easier for Google to “crawl” or read your website and digest its information to show it to users with relevant search queries.

Using Ads

Running an ad campaign is one of the most effective strategies for marketing for NDIS.

  • Google Ads – Google Ads campaigns tend to produce higher quality leads than other marketing campaigns because Google selects whether or not someone sees your ads based on the user’s search query.
  • Facebook Ads – You can create ads catering to your specific objective with Facebook ads and can also micro-target your audience. All like it because of its availability and cheaper option.
  • Instagram Ads – Instagram’s engagement rate is higher than any other social media platform. Therefore Instagram ads help in acquiring participants for your business.

Posting consistently on social media

Social media is another highly effective tool for marketing your services as an NDIS provider. Beyond increasing your business’s reach online, social media allows you to showcase your knowledge and expertise by providing relevant and valuable content.

By posting consistent, high-quality content, you’ll eventually create and be part of a loyal community, which can result in a more extensive customer base.

Although creating an established online presence requires time, patience, and consistent effort, the outcome can be a game-changer for growing your NDIS business.

Using online platforms and apps to register

online registration

The NDIA refers these resources to their participants, so attending these events will benefit you.

  • Clickability is an online platform that connects NDIS participants with providers who match their needs. Clickability is now a national platform that supports participants in finding reviewed providers.
  • They also help NDIS providers grow their business, as their website sees over 30 000 users requesting provider support each month.
  • Registered and unregistered Providers can register their business for free on Clickability or pay a small monthly fee for a subscription that gives them access to client leads.
  • A platform called HPA explicitly connects people who live with a disability and their carers to the services people need. People can filter through support categories and locations; there’s a checkbox separately for registered NDIS providers.

Look around for online community noticeboards and directories. You can even list your company on YellowPages, TrueLocal, Hotfrog, and Yelp.

Always be careful about the information you’re sharing, personal details like your address, so that it doesn’t fall into the wrong hands.

Attend/Organise NDIS events

Be aware of upcoming NDIS events within your area. Joining these are a great way to connect with other NDIS providers & there, you can exchange stories, information and experiences and learn from each other. You can make new friends by going to these types of events.

As the NDIS grows, it pays to get involved in your local community. Attending events by the NDIS itself and other organisations will benefit you and give you more awareness about the updates regarding the NDIS.

These are taking place more and more these days. It’s a great way of meeting Support Coordinators, Plan Managers, Participants, Providers and other independent Support Workers.
