Become an NDIS provider

Become an NDIS provider

Become an NDIS provider to give your clients the high-quality care they need. By joining the NDIS, you will have access to various funding sources to assist with the disability sector in your state or territory.

The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) offers financial assistance to Australians under the age of 65 who have a specific type of disability.

Regardless of how their plans are maintained, organisations that register as National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) providers will provide services to NDIS participants.

NDIS registered providers are those who have completed the NDIS registration process and have met all of the government’s standards.

how to become an NDIS provider?

Service providers have the option to register with the NDIS formally. NDIS registered providers are those who the NDIS has approved. They are audited as part of the registration process to ensure that they fulfil the NDIS safeguard commission’s high safety, quality, and compliance criteria.

Unregistered providers are excluded from this process and are not needed to satisfy all of the specifications.

Become an NDIS provider

  • Provide services or assistance to Agency-managed NDIS participants.
  • Become a member of the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).
  • The NDIS registered business badge should be displayed.
  • Demonstrating that your company complies with the stringent NDIS provider requirements may provide you with a competitive edge, especially if you provide complicated services.
  • Be the prefered supplier for Agency-managed participants who are limited to using only registered providers.

Eligible for funding

The level of a person’s handicap determines whether or not they are eligible. The NDIS is for persons with a persistent, lifelong disability that considerably affects their physical, psychological, intellectual, cognitive, sensory, neurological, or social functioning.

It would be advantageous if you were between the ages of 7 and 65 and a resident of Australia.

You can make an Access-Request on the NDIS website to learn more about your eligibility for help through the NDIS.

Plan management and support coordination

Both NDIS plan management and NDIS support coordination services assist individuals in putting their NDIS plans into reality, although in different ways.

Plan management

The financial administration that comes with an NDIS plan is handled by plan management. This includes paying your providers’ invoices, submitting claims through the NDIS system, and presenting you with a monthly summary that shows how much of each budget you’ve spent and how much is left.

If you choose Health Provider Assist. as your plan manager, you’ll gain access to several unique features:

  • Fast payment.
  • Access to our knowledgeable staff who can answer any of your queries concerning your NDIS money.

Support coordination

Support coordination assists you in putting your plans into action by locating and linking you with the right service providers.

Support coordination, unlike plan management, does not assist you in managing any of the financial components of your NDIS plan.

If you have support coordination with Health Provider Assist, we will:

  • Assist you in understanding the details of your NDIS plan.
  • We will advise and guide you throughout your NDIS journey
  • Assist you in keeping track of your plan’s progress and preparing for your review meeting.

What is the difference between an unregistered NDIS and a registered NDIS?

A registered NDIS provider is an independent national body that works with NDIS providers to establish a consistent approach to the quality and safety of services. It supports offered to participants through the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission.

The NDIS Commission does not require all NDIS providers to register. On the other hand, registration can ensure NDIS participants that the NDIS provider’s services and supports satisfy the quality and safety standards outlined in the NDIS Practice Standards called unregistered NDIS provider.

Many unregistered providers are passionate about providing support and go above and beyond to help NDIS participants reach their goals. Similarly, NDIS registered providers don’t guarantee they’ll meet your support and customer service standards. Whether they’re written or unregistered – we recommend you do some research and find out if they are right for you.
